Audemat's engineers have partnered with the Sound4 audio gurus in order to create a high quality audio processor that is based on a powerful DSP hardware platform with performance levels never reached before. The Digiplexer's audio processor operates at a sampling frequency of 192 kHz for the main audio processing and 1.5 MHz for the final limiter to deliver the highest quality, clarity and precision for your sonic signature while maintaining a loud and competitive sound.

The Digiplexer214-2B (with 2-band processor) is the ideal choice for medium- and small-market stations, non-commercial and educational stations as well as network broadcasters who pre-process their program at the studio and need a processor and an RDS encoder at every studio or transmitting site. The Digplexer214-4B (4-band version) is perfect as a main processor for commercial stations.

Main Processing Features:
• Automatic Gain Control: Using predictive techniques, the Automatic Gain Control is based on complex algorithms that correct large level variations without any pumping effect. It maintains a constant audio level on the air. The wideband approach keeps the balance between frequencies. Silence gating prevents unnecessary volume changes and improves processing quality. 
• Tone FX: It allows the creation of specific sonic signatures thanks to its 4-band parametric equalizer. For each band it is possible to configure the frequency, the gain and the filter quality. This level of precision is quite useful for bass enhancement. You can also increase high and low frequencies dynamically thanks to the Bass FX and Treble FX. 
• Stereo FX: Enhance the stereo effect of your signal with perfect control. Stereo enhancement used to be a source of reception troubles such as multi-path. The Digiplexer 214 includes a specific limiter to insure reception stability. 
• Multi-band Processor: The Digiplexer 214 uses a unique algorithm that controls the gain for each band. You can easily control how the Digiplexer 214 will process your sound. A ‘Fidelity' parameter enables you to control how close to the original sound you would like to remain. (Purist/Processed). The Digiplexer 214 also has the Sound Impact System, which is a revolutionary algorithm that preserves dynamic and peak attack perception. 
• Multi-band limiters: The Digiplexer 214 contains an advanced 2 or 4-band limiter (depending on version). Its look ahead function guarantees perfect peak control without the drawbacks of limiters. A mix function enables control of the balance between the bands. 
• Final limiters; Previously the best clippers on the market were running at a sampling rate of 768 kHz. The Digiplexer 214 includes a revolutionary ‘virtual' composite/MPX clipper that samples at 1.5 MHz. Precisely control high frequency energy with the HF limiter. An HD limiter can be used at the same time to process digital high quality radio (HD/DAB/DRM).

The optional 80 GB embedded hard drive makes it a very attractive unit for broadcasters who are also looking for an audio backup solution for their existing air chain. All in one unit to reduce waste and electric consumption.

The Audemat one-box approach is inherently better than separate equipment. It guarantees perfect synchronization of subcarriers, lets you adjust their levels interactively, and provides easy control of overall deviation. It gives you a cleaner signal than separate units would, because subcarriers are combined in a single digital operation. Noise doesn't build up the way it would with separate units in series. The result is measurably better performance and complete freedom from drift.

Because Audemat's “All in One” philosophy is to protect the on air signal, the Digiplexer 2/4 provides an advanced auto-switch input and an audio backup in case of STL loss.
